The declarations and decrees of God are yes and amen! He spoke this world into existence. He created his people in his own image and gave them dominion in the world. And as image-bearers, God’s people can declare rule over and speak life back into a decadent world. With the power of the tongue, believers can denounce the unlawful dominion of the devil who has taken control of what is God’s and God’s alone!
All believers as children of God through the acceptance of the sacrificial death and lordship of Jesus can make the following decrees.
1. I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ; so as God’s restored image-bearer, I take back authority on the earth. (1 Corinthians 7:3)
2. I belong to God and greater is he (God) that is in me than he that is in the world. (John 4:4)
3. I receive the immeasurable love of God and I know that he will never leave me or forsake me. (Hebrews 23:5)
4. With every breath that I take, I declare that God is good and his mercies endure forever. (Psalm 136:1; 100:5)
5. I am a joint heir with Jesus Christ and I choose to walk in the authority of a king’s child. (Romans 8:16-17)
6. I am able to discern what is holy and what is unholy and I have the authority to denounce evil and ungodly trespassers on godly territory. (Leviticus 10:10)
7. I choose to speak words of life, not death with my tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)
8. As a child of God, I walk in the fullness of the Godhead and I am more than a conqueror in all things. (Colossians 2:9)
9. My Shepherd causes me to lack nothing and I have abundance in all things. (Psalm 23:1)
10. A table of abundance is laid out before me in the presence of my enemies. (Psalm 23:5)
11. As my heritage, no weapon formed against me shall prosper.(Isaiah 54:17)
12. As I walk in the path of righteousness, goodness and mercy shall follow me. (Psalm 23:3 & 6)
13. God’s word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105)
