A Devotional Tribute to my Lord

Lord, if I had died in my sins, if you had treated me according to my wickedness, I would never have known you. I would not know what it is to have a relationship with you or to be close to you or to feel your presence and anointing or to hear you speak to me. I love you, Lord—you have delivered me from death and hell and opened my blind eyes that I might “see.”

Jesus, thank you for dying on that cross for my sins and for having mercy on me who was once dead and is now made alive. Thank you for sending Holy Spirit who is ever-present, guiding and directing my path.

Now, dear Lord, I present my body to you as a living sacrifice; mold me and make me into what you want me to be. Lord, I want to please you. I want my steps to be ordered by you. I choose to serve no other God but you.

It’s so wonderful to have a Savior and a friend, like you, Jesus. There has been a great change in my life since I found you. Now, when I speak, I want righteous, holy words to come forth. I want to sing songs of praise to you. I want my thoughts to be godly. Let jme not think more highly of myself than I should. Help  me to be obedient and to live and walk uprightly before you.

This joy, this peace, this happiness that I have—the world didn’t give them to me! Money can’t buy them! And I didn’t do anything to earn them!  It was your love and your grace that changed my life!

Now, Holy Savior, I am pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in you. I am looking forward to that day when you will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

All praise; all honor; all glory belongs to you, my Lord!
