Give Thanks

I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I wake up with some anxiety.  This morning I woke up feeling a little down. Then I thought, “This is the day that the Lord, my Lord, has made, and I will rejoice and be glad.” (Psalm 118:24) Scripture began to tumble out of my innermost being.  I began to I give thanks because our God is a good God, my friends; . . . His love (mercies) endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)

My spirit and soul were refreshed, so I needed to uplift my physical body. Going to the gym was always refreshing and rejuvenating. I had been to the gym yesterday, but this is a new day—a new day that the Lord has made! So, I t is off to the gym!

Whatever you may be facing today, never, never fear because if God is on our side (and he is), who can be against us?

Prayer for Today:

Lord, how can we thank you enough for all that you do for us and our families. Thank you today for being our Lord; no words can describe how awesome you are! Thank you for waking us up to a new day and new possibilities. Thank you for extending our time here on the earth so that we can fulfill our destinies.  How wonderful it is to know that we have a God who is on our side! How wonderful it is to know that your warring angels are fighting on our behalf against the forces of darkness.  Lord, your love is an everlasting love and we can always count on you even when the storms of life come.  Help us to stand on your Word each day, for it is a lamp for our feet and a light to our paths. We give you all the praise and all the glory, in the Name of Jesus.

Blessings and love, my friends.

Meditate on these verses today:

Joshua 1:9 Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord you God will be with you wherever you go.

Psalm 8:31 Though the enemy may rage, we will always have the victory through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
