The Prayer of Salvation. (The Sinner’s Prayer)

The Bible says in Romans 3:23, that ”. . . all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God . . .” A life of sin produces death. (Romans 6:23) So, everyone is in need of God’s mercy, grace, and forgiveness. No one wants God’s judgment and wrath for sin. God knew that human beings would need a sinless sacrifice to save them from their sinful natures, so he sent His Son, Jesus, to take the place of everyone, by dying on the cross for all sin. Jesus, the sacrificial lamb came to the earth to save all people. He died on the cross, rose victoriously on the third day, conquered sin and death and provided all with eternal life.

To receive salvation and everlasting life, each person must:

  1. Acknowledge his/her sins.
  2. Repent of the sin life (turn away from it).
  3. Believe, by faith,, that Jesus died on the cross for their sins.
  4. Ask for forgiveness of sin.
  5. Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

According to Acts 16:31, if you “. . . Believe in the Lord Jesus, you will saved . . . “

You see, everyone is saved by the grace of God; there is nothing—no works that anyone can accomplish to get saved. Ephesians 2:8-9 states that, “. . . It is by grace you have been saved, through faith in (Jesus) —and this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” So, “. . .if by grace, then it cannot be based on works, if it were (based on works), grace would no longer be grace.” (Romans 11:6)

If you are a sinner and need salvation, say this prayer of salvation.

Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and I repent now of my sinful life. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose victoriously on the third day, defeating sin and death on my behalf. I ask you, Jesus, to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart as Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for forgiving me of my sins and coming into my heart as Lord and Savior. In Your Name.

Now, Heavenly Father, your Word says that, “If I declare with my mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead, I will be saved. (Romans 10:9) I declare with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that you, God, raised him from the dead, so I now thank you that I am saved, in the Name of Jesus. Amen
