A Love that Never Fails

Romans 8:37 tells us that “we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Our victory comes through Christ. That does not mean that we will walk out this life unscathed—no—we face many trials and tribulations in this unredeemed world. We are constantly battling “against powers, against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 MEV) We also battle against our own flesh and against this world system. But because of our connection to “the source” and through his love for us, we are victorious. Romans 8:35 reminds us that no matter what we face—tribulations, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, the sword—nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. The Lord is there to fight our battles.

(Exodus 14:14 ESV) The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.

(2 Chronicles 20:17 ESV) You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm , hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. (My insert—Oh child of God.) Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.

(Deuteronomy 20:4 ESV) For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.

(Isaiah 54:17 NIV) No weapon that is forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and this is their vindication from me, declares the Lord.

(Luke 10:19 ESV) Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

So, when you feel despair; when you feel downtrodden; when you feel that the world is against you; hold on to your loving Savior, dear people. It is through Jesus that we get the victory. (1 Corinthians 15:57) He will never fail you or me and because of his love for us, we are more than conquerors in every situation. (Romans 8:37)

Be blessed, my friends.
